Big day for Casey in NYC. We sold our apartment on 60th st today, so we had a big day with Nanny and Uncle Jeremy in New York City. We even got to see Cousin Jeff! And visit Bloomingdales!
This past month we took her pacifier away. Casey is really doing well without it now that she can suck on her fingers and toys (and spoons).
At 5 months,
Casey can:
-Roll over like a champ
-Reach out and grab at things with one hand.
-sleep through the night for ten or eleven hours (even if she cries for twenty minutes first).
-giggle - big laughs more than before, it's adorable
-start to sit up on her own, yesterday was over a minute!
-do the plank position - well she has done this two times - basically she is on her tummy, and all of a sudden pushes her butt up in the air so only her toes and hands are on the ground. Who does this? crazy!
Casey likes:
-people and faces. If you smile at her, she will smile back. and sometimes she'll keep trying to catch someone's eye till they interact with her.
-the bath - loves it, the water, the faucet
-Sophie the giraffe, rattles, soft toys, plastic toys, you name it!
-her hands, they are often in her mouth.
-being outside on walks
-licking things and putting things in her mouth
Casey hates:
-the crinkle of plastic or paper, still
-loud banging of silverware.
-sleeping through the night. Now that she rolls over she wakes herself up!!
-napping
a great day. the apartment served its great purpose and now on to the next. casey was a champ on her day in the city. or so i hear from her nanny, who described the details of the day, punctuated with statements of how great casey was.
