Mushroom
six month old who started solids three days ago (so far roasted sweet potato and some avocado) snatched a sautéed piece of mushroom off my michaels plate and swallowed it. It was pretty long but I think she just slurped it in and swallowed. No choking or anything. Any cause to worry? Granted the sauté has olive oil, sesame oil and Worcestershire sauce!!!

Sarah's first food
Sweet potato. Tried baby led weaning rather than making a purée. She had a blast. Didn't eat much though!
Sucking the food from her fingers
Sarah turned 6 months old a few weeks ago!
Sarah turned 6 months old as soon as we started our big adventure to the west coast. So here is my delayed post:
At 6 months, Sarah:
Can:
-sleep through the night (We kind of screwed this up with our travels but she can go from about 8 pm till 5 or 6 am, which is pretty amazing).
-hold on to toys and play with them.
-move around on the floor, she moves a few feet after a while just by pushing herself back and spinning around.
-sit up on her own for a few minutes
likes:
-LOVES her sister, she just starts giggling sometimes when Casey gives her the time of day.
-loves me, she really lights up when she sees me and not just because she is hungry
-Stanley (Julia's son), they had a blast together in San Francisco, giggling and making baby noises to each other
-the bath and especially running water, which usually calms her down when she is freaking out and can't calm down (even better than nursing sometimes!)
-her pacifier
dislikes:
-the airplane. Mostly the ascent, she's ok with the descent.

Last day in vancouver
Rainy day so went to the maritime museum. This pic is of the arts museum but we didn't stay.
No I didn't let her climb to the top!
Vancouver day 3
Kids market, casey loved it.
Quick ride for me and the girls on the ferry. Total time including return trip 6 min. Went one stop and came back.
Oh yeah, sarah can sit in a high chair! Thanks for the reminder allison! We all ate dinner so easily tonight. Sarah wants our food so badly.
Bath time. Last night in Vancouver. Note Sarah's leg rolls :)
Home From our trip
Everyone is sick but so excited to home, especially Casey as she played with I think every single toy she owns last night. Here she is napping on the plane.

Day two in vancouver
Tough day. Sarah has a cold and casey is being two and tough. We got caught in the rain today which changed our plans. But we did our best. Michael and casey went to watch the sea planes land along the waterfront while Sarah finally napped. Delish sushi dinner (the sushi and Korean food has been amazing so far).
