So the first post (finally) from the father and it had to be a post about my girls (or as Danielle claims I say "Me' girls". Danielle is doing a fantastic job taking care of Casey and Casey really loves her mum (I am pushing for the use of mum rather than the very american "mom").

Head to ankle in bobux
Bobux is a baby shoe and clothing brand in NZ that makes the most wonderful things. Here little Casey is head to ankle in bobux thanks to Grandma Virginia. Her booties are a gift from her great Nana who will be 99 in a few months!!

Casey is 2 weeks old!
Casey is two weeks old! I am taking this idea from my friend Julia's blog about her son Stanley, and I believe Julia got this idea from a friend of hers.
At 2 weeks old...
Casey can:
make small baby noises
charm everyone who holds or looks at her
hold her head up like a champ
projectile poop at least 4 feet (we don't want to know her true reach, we learned to play defense!)
sneeze five times in a row
Casey loves:
the car (so far)
the stroller (so far)
nursing
a good swaddle (I mean, who doesn't?)
getting her hair washed after a sponge bath - directly under the faucet
her pacifier sometimes
Casey hates:
waiting to nurse
having to get a good latch, but she is improving
her pacifier sometimes

Casey is a heavy weight champion!
Today at the doctor the goal was for Casey to gain back her birth weight of 8lb 5 oz. When she left the hospital she was 7 lb 9 oz. Then the next day she was 7 lb 13 oz at the doctors office. And today! 8 lb 8.5 oz! What a champ!!!!!
