Casey is 8 weeks old!

Casey turned 8 weeks old today, what an accomplishment.  Unofficially, she is over 12 lbs (pediatrician appointment in a few weeks).  She looks around so much more and is starting to play, in addition to eating, sleeping, peeing and pooping.  She makes adorable baby noises.  And she is much louder - when she cries, you can hear her loud and clear!

At 8 weeks:

Casey likes:
her mobile (we connect her to it so when she moves, it moves - she loves it)
the stroller
her pacifier
the car
lying on her back
going on walks
baths

Cases dislikes:
tummy time (but today she started to like it just a tad - helps to have mommy massage her back during it apparently!)
being held sometimes - we think she runs hot like her parents and needs some space
having to keep the pacifier in herself

Casey can:
give the biggest cutest smiles ever first thing when she wakes up
play with her mobile for hours
sleep 7 hours - which can mean 9 hours since her last nursing!  This mommy LOVES.

Today michael and I walked with Casey for about 45 minutes. She was carried by michael the whole time and slept. Awesome!

Mommy and Me Yoga and a great picture

Today I went to mommy and me yoga, sorry no pictures!  It was hard, especially because Casey was fussy, and actually wanted to be held! Usually she likes lying down!  Anyway, found this great picture of Aunt Anthea before she left.

Successful video chat with michaels family!

Finally we had a successful video chat for about 45 minutes with grandma Virginia, granddad Peter, aunt Anthea, and great grandma nana. It included a bath! So Casey dressed to impress.

Just saw herself in the mirror today. Then promptly fell asleep!

We had a good time. Lilah slept most of the time and Casey followed suit. We moms talked about mom and baby stuff mostly.
