Today I dressed Casey in her bobux outfit. It fit exactly in the torso length but was long at the arms and legs. Is it Casey or the clothes? Either way she looked great for her outing to the


mall.

First play date

Today we had our first play date. Five of us from prenatal yoga, the fab 5, had babies all within a few weeks of each other in early march. So today the five moms and five babies met up in a park. While the babies didn't interact at all with each other, it was still great for the 5 of us moms to chat away about our deliveries and new babies. I hope we meet up again soon!!

Casey's 4 week stats and Piper's Kilt

Today Casey had her 4 week check up (actually 4 weeks and a few days).  Here are her stats:
10.8 lbs (95th percentile!)
22.5 inches (90th percentile!)

Basically, she is doing fantastic.  She is gaining weight "perfectly" according to the doctor. So thank you everyone who has helped me stay fed and hydrated so I could easily breastfeed my baby!  we got a chunky baby on our hands!  She feels heavier in my arms because she is!

And, last night Casey had her first dinner at Piper's Kilt (a restaurant/pub my family has been going to for ever).  Granted she slept the whole time, but her Cousin Morris had a blast watching basketball on tv.  Here are some pictures:

The little Quesadilla

So apparently Casey is phonetically What Yes in Spanish.   So Casey looks like a burrito when she is swaddled and she has been given the nickname Quesadilla (the Kramers have decided to call her that apparently).

This is the first time I set up the mobile.  She loved it.  I had to move it every few minutes, but she was entertained for 30 minutes or so!

Myra came to visit!

Casey is four weeks old!

At 4 weeks old...

Casey can:
threaten to roll over on the changing table in front of other people as proof, not just her mommy
Smile! I see her smile all the time!
Get her hands to her mouth. Sometimes even a thumb.

Casey loves: no real change from 3 weeks:
baths
the car
the stroller
Her car seat
going for walks
Napping
Her aunt allison, who calms her down

Casey hates:
waiting to nurse
When her hat falls over her eyes
Having anything go over her head, like clothes.

I realized last night was our first night home together as just the immediate family. No grandmas or grandpas to help! And we did great just the three of us!

Casey is three weeks old! And passover

Well, she turned 3 weeks old on Thursday April 5th. Her mom turned 32 on April 6th!

At 3 weeks old...

Casey can:
sneeze six times in a row (last week was only 5!)
threaten to roll over on the changing table
get out of her swaddles

Casey loves:
baths
the car
the stroller
going for walks with her father and Grandma Virginia
the passover seder - she slept right through it

Casey hates:
waiting to nurse
luckily she doesn't hate much!
being gassy

This week was also a big week for Casey. On Friday we went to my parents place for Passover, where Casey got to meet a lot more of her family and cousins! the seder was great and the food was delish as always. Best chicken soup in the world, thanks nanny Leslie!! Here are a few pictures and a video.

Danielle's birthday

It's Danielle's birthday today!  HAPPY BIRTHDAY DANIELLE/MUMMY/MOMMY!

So the first post (finally) from the father and it had to be a post about my girls (or as Danielle claims I say "Me' girls".  Danielle is doing a fantastic job taking care of Casey and Casey really loves her mum (I am pushing for the use of mum rather than the very american "mom").
